Real Life Wedding: Drumsheugh Gardens and Noto, Edinburgh
Cori & Ian
Cori and Ian’s wedding was magical . From their ceremony (a private garden in the heart of Edinburgh’s new town) to their party (dinner at their favourite restaurant Noto with their closest family and friends) it was a dream.
Add to that a moment set aside for their firstlook and quality time spent in the gardens sipping champagne, hanging out with their favourites and even walking with their daughter little P and first born four legged Finn.
I will never stop saying every wedding is unique and special. They 100% are. Often it’s the details I remember: butterflies joining us for bridal prep, the scent of apple hairspray, the pre-aisle giggles and arm squeezes, snippets of speeches… and of course music.
Cori and Ian’s wedding is one I will always remember with so much clarity and detail. Because it was beautiful. But also because Cori is someone I get to call friend. And now I can also say Ian is too. Because these two are a team. An incredible and unique team.
Thank you both for letting us tell your wedding story. It was a privilege and a huge delight. Here are (some) of the magical details I remember from your day:
The view from the room where Cori got ready – sitting above Edinburgh as she glowed in the afternoon sun
The sound of Cori’s dress as she made her way to meet Ian for the first time as a bride
The way Ian looks at Cori (also the way Cori looks at Ian) – love and respect in equal measure
Little P’s smiles as she was held by both her parents
The geese flying overhead during their ceremony.
Kat and Harry’s unwavering dedication to making your garden party exceptional (even cleaning up a random dog’s calling card)
The extra guest at the wedding
The incredible smell as soon as the doors of Noto opened
The warmth and sound of chatter and laughter as evening became night
See you soon you two fabulous humans.

Melville Castle has always had a special place in our hearts as it’s one of the first castles we ever photographed a wedding at. Combine that with one of the most incredible couples and you have the stuff of unstoppable…
Drumtochty Castle weddings in autumn are simply magical. Andrea and Mike planned theirs to perfection – with the sage greens and golds and oranges of the flowers creating a warmth within the castle as well as outwith.
Getting to know these…
Laura and Calum’s wedding was always going to be a day filled with smiles a-plenty and the kind of party atmosphere that fills Mansfield to its rooftops. It was such a privilege to photograph this wedding as it feels like…
