Allow us to introduce ourselves. We’re Blue Sky Photography. You and your tribe will be welcomed to our Edinburgh studio with warmth, and real heart. We’re proudly independent, family run and can be entrusted with your clan whatever form that takes.
From your first conversation, it matters to us who you are and what you’d love from your family shoot. You are (and always have been) our focus.
Our gorgeous studio is a beautiful, relaxed home from home and is the perfect location for your family photoshoot. We love our studio at New Mart Road in Edinburgh – there’s free on street parking and level access – your Blue Sky experience just got that bit easier.

Book a Discovery Call
It’s a chilled chat (on the phone or in person if you fancy a coffee, especially if you’ve got time and are local) where we get to know more about you and who’s in your family. We’ll just ask a few simple questions so we can get to know you and what you’d love from your photography experience. You’ll talk, we’ll listen and then together we’ll create the photography experience that suits you, your family and the space in your home where you’d love to display your artwork.

Experience
The day of the photography experience is time for you and your family to be together and have a blast. The studio will be prepared for you in advance, so it’s time to slow down and let the magic happen. It’s the kind of day that you’ll all look back on with fondness as it’s all about quality, intentional family time. We’ll capture the images that matter and those interactions that make you who you are. Because we’ve chatted in advance we’ll know (literally) what we’re shooting for so we can take the photographs we know you’ll love. You should also know there’s plenty of space to get changed and have refreshments. We want our studio to feel like a home-from-home for you all.

Design
This is the exciting moment when you get to see the photographs you’ve imagined for the first time. We invite you back to the studio and you get to sit in our lounge and view all on the big screen. This is where you pick your photographs for the space you’ve already imagined. Because we’ve chatted in advance, we’ll have an idea of the products you love. This is all about selecting your favourite images. Important note – if you’re travelling a distance, we are happy to do this same day if it makes it easier.

Cherish
You will live with artwork that celebrates your family and the love and support between you. A reminder to you and even more importantly to the kids, that they are loved and belong. Your family is now at the centre of your home. It’s hard to define how important this will be to you all especially as the years go on.

Our studio to style is to get to know you and what suits your family and your home. We can help with styling, from background colour to what to wear.
Following your photography experience, we’ll invite you back for your design consultation. Then comes the exciting bit: deciding if you want a collection for the lounge, single piece for the bedroom, or treasure box for the hallway… the options are endless.
